When you need help, you need it now! When you want answers, you want them now! When you want details, you want them now! "Whenever you want me, I'll be there! Whenever you need me, I'll be there. I'll be around."
Although I have been a practising Metaphysician, psychic counselor and astrologer for over 35 years, being on the internet is a whole new scene for me. It is a new medium for you as clients as well. The internet is full of awesome possibilities for every type of business and service and a unparalleled learning experience. For all the good it brings, it also has a few drawbacks.
Prior to the internet when someone decided to see a psychic/astrologer/reader, it was because a friend referred them. Now, people are able to log on to their home and work computers and surf the net for any kind of information they can dream of. Among these are your psychic internet sites. More and more people are quickly, easily, and anonymously able to contact a psychic without an appointment at any time of the day or nite. This is a WIN WIN situation, right? Most of the time it is.
Unfortunately, some people, because of lack of experience, do not really understand how a psychic works and receives their information. Consulting a psychic or astrologer online is very different than seeing one in person. In person, you have the time to exchange greetings and take a moment to get comfortable with one another.
It was a very new experience for me after 35 years of regular repeat and satisfied customers to have people calling me in this manner. So, I decided to write this article to remind those new to this field that psychics are people who are using their paranormal gifts to help you and not computer programs. This posting is not meant as a criticism but as a guideline to hopefully help those of you that are new to readings to understand how it works so that you do not have unrealistic expectations. It is also meant to give you techniques you can employ that will help you to get the best reading possible from whichever psychic you choose to call. After all, if you do not prepare yourself for the reading, you may be subconsciously blocking them.
Psychics have an obligation to do the best reading they can do for you and treat you with the respect, nurturing and caring they are known for. You, as a client, owe the psychic the same courtesy of showing them respect and allowing them to do what they do best!
You can receive a good reading from nearly any psychic if you abide by the following rules of etiquette. There are hundreds of reputable psychics more than willing and capable of helping you with life changing insight and techniques who are all respectful of the time and money you are spending to seek them out. Help them to do the best job possible by doing your part below.
1. Prepare yourself: I can't stress enough how following the suggestions below will help to increase the accuracy and satisfaction of your reading. Take a moment to relax, take a deep breath, and get in a comfortable position with notepad and pen for notes.
2. Before you make the call, make a list of the questions you would like to have answers to.
3. Do this affirmation several times before making the call. Say, "I will receive all the answers I need."
4. Keep your mind as open and as positive as possible in order to give the psychic a clear channel to receive from.
5. Make the call and be sure after exchanging names to allow the psychic to do the reading. A good psychic usually prefers to have as little information as possible. Occasionally, they may ask a question to get clarification on what they are picking up but that is all.
6. It is OK to give them feedback that they are hitting on target. With complete silence from you, it makes them feel they are stumbling around in the dark and to wonder if you are understanding and relating to what they are telling you.
7. Accept what they are telling you and wait and see what happens. Sometimes, it takes a little bit of time for things to materialize. Because each of us has free will, sometimes we or someone else makes a decision that changes everything. We all have that choice. The future is not an absolute. It is written in probabilities. Sometimes it can be changed - other times not. What we see on that day is accurate that day, but it could change a few weeks or months down the line because of the actions and decisions of yourself or others.
8. Please don't interrupt, argue and take a combative stance with the psychic and tell them they are totally wrong and you know better how things are going to turn out. If you already know all the answers better than the psychic, then why are you calling? No psychic can give you a satisfactory reading if you take this position and attitude with them. You have blasted them with negativity that they have to take care to shield themselves from. This is the opposite of what you want them to do. You want to be open to them so they can pick up an accurate assessment of what is going on. If you are being overly negative, it will color your reading to be more negative and perhaps hinder it all together.
9. Give them the benefit of the doubt that they do know what they are doing. Most psychics are "called" to this line of work by spirit and would never have chosen it otherwise. They are here to help you and not to hurt you.
10. Just because you can't see them and they are an unseen voice on the other end of the phone, they are not here for you to take out your frustrations and anger on. They are people dedicating their lives to helping you and others. They are not inanimate objects like your computer.
11. If you work with the psychic as your friend, confidante, and trusted advisor, they will be there to help you through the difficult times with their support, compassion, love, and wisdom.
12. Don't judge them negatively if you approached the reading while you were in a negative state of mind. Don't judge them negatively because they are not seeing what you want them to see. You have asked them what they see and they are telling you. This does not warrant giving them a negative rating. Doing so only hurts them and their ability to help others who appreciate their help. Be fair. Remember the GOLDEN RULE and the LAW OF ATTRACTION!
