Face to Face With the Goddess

Not long after my NDE, I was home alone one night. It was a very cold winter night. My two children were in their rooms sound asleep as was I. Suddenly, I awakened with a start and quicky froze, terrified. Someone was in my room and standing near the dressing room alcove. Their profile was very clear.

Lying motionless, I began saying the 23rd Psalm over and over in my mind. Gradually, as the entity moved closer to the bed and my eyes became accustomed to the faint light in the room, I realized that this was not a living person but a spirit entity. I prayed even harder. I didn't know whether to be less scared or more scared.

As the entity moved closer, I began to see more clearly and she became clearly visible to me as she lit up the room. Still in shock, I began to relax a little as the fear subsided and I just listened as she spoke comfortingly to me. Since the NDE, I had been going through a lot emotionally, feeling a lot of confusion, and knew I had to make changes in my life. I did not, however, know how I was going to go about it. She was there to help me and let me know that she would always be there to assist me and guide me in what I needed to do.

The entity was Our Lady, the same as the one in the Icon I had been given recently of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Among other things, she advised me to remember to pray to her and that she would always be there to help me no matter what. She said she was always there for me to call on for help, advice, or whatever. Before she left, she commanded me to get the Icon I had been given of her and put it where I could see it when I slept and know she would always be that close and available to me. She told me not to fear and that she was protecting me. Then she faded into mist and was gone.

For a few moments, I couldn't move. Shocked and stunned, my mind was still reeling from the magnitude of what had just happened. I grew up as a protestant and not a catholic. I had been taught that you didn't pray to Mary or the Saints. So, why was Mary appearing to me? At last, I pulled myself together as I had to find the Icon. It wasn't a request. It was a command! The problem was, I had hidden it away where the two wild toddlers couldn't get their hands on it. For the life of me, I couldn't remember where it was. I put on my robe and slippers, but was still shivering from the cold. I couldn't find it anywhere!

An hour later, freezing, I had moved on to the garage and was going through boxes there - desperate to obey the command I had been given. My husband came home and couldn't believe I was in the garage digging through boxes in the cold at that time of night. He finally convinced me to go back to bed and sleep and finish my search in the morning. Cold, exhausted, and still a bit in shock, I reluctantly agreed.

Sure enough, upon waking the next morning, I went straight to where I had hidden the Icon. It was in the house, up high on a shelf. I took it back to my room and put it on the nightstand. To this day, that Icon stays beside my bed as I was commanded. It goes with me when I travel. It has become my most prized possession.

It took some time for me to accept this experience. Our Lady has been appearing all over the world to all kinds of people. She is constantly making her presence known. Now, I realize that in our Patriarchial society, we have lost touch with the Divine Feminine. We must all get back in touch with this lost side of our humanity and Godhead. We must get balance back into both our physical and spiritual lives. We can not become whole human beings or souls until we balance the two sides of our nature. Our Western society has denied the reality of the feminine side for centuries.

Now, particularly as we move into the age of Aquarius, these two aspects of male and female must be brought back into alignment. We have been out of balance far too long. The key is to have balance between the two - not a favoring of one energy over the other.
Affirmation for the Day: Just as the Godhead is balance between the Father Mother God, so is my own nature and energy perfectly balanced between the male and female energies. I am in perfect alignment physically and spiritually.
